Ducks back cover advice Ribcraft 4.8

Hi I know it’s probably been discussed before but I’m thinking of a Ducksback cover for my Ribcraft 4.8
Question is not sure what size I’ll need to hopefully cover the a frame aswell if that’s possible
Does any 4.8 owners out there have the ducksback and is it possible to get a size that extends over the a frame and still looks ok ( photos would be great )
Thanks in advance

Hi, I have a ducks back on my 5.4 with an A frame but sadly the cover doesn’t go over the A frame too.

I emailed ducks back with a photo and sizes of my rib and they confirmed that it would not fit over the frame and advised what size I would need.

If your unsure, just drop em a message, I’m sure they will be happy to help.

I've got the Size 3, for my 4.8 with an A frame, and with the aerial removed it's still a little too short to go over the ends of both tubes, but it's close, the next size up I think would be ok.

I have many ducksback covers and I think they are the best you can get for the money. Generally if your boat is sort of between the sizes I have found it better to go for the smaller one. To be honest however they are so reasonably priced you could just buy both sizes

i'd go a size bigger and tidy away the excess.
I found on my RC5.3 with A-frame it was best to cover the rear tubes around the A-frame then bundle the excess at the bow wrapped up with some bungees. ! got a better fit that way - not pretty but effective.

So, this is what a mahoosive size 6 Ducksback cover looks like on a 5m XS rib. At least 5 feet too long, but nothing a few judicious folds can't sort out.

The benefit of the larger sizes is the greater girth (ooer!) although still not likely to go over an A frame.

We tend to get three or four seasons use before the waterproofing starts to fail. This one is now relegated to dirt and bird shite duties during winter barn storage.
