E-Bay repair kit

Hi,

Has anyone bought one of the cheap repair kits off e-bay? They sell at £8.08, the seller feedback is good but I'm just wondering if anyone has bought one?
Thanks

Sam

I bought one for Hypalon, and whilst it has patched what was really only a wear patch. The glue was not as good as the two pack I have previously used with PVC. That said it was still two pack, but was bostik type with an accellerant, rather than two reactive parts.

Still patched well though, I was just expecting a different type of glue!

If I remember correctly, Bostik 2402, the Zodiac Hypalon glue, and Weaver 3001(?) are all a contact type adhesive, with a separate modifier. The second part (often referred to as a catalyst) doesn't affect bond strength directly, but adds a certain amount of UV and chemical resistance to the cured adhesive. I've used the Weaver and Bostik glues without the 2nd part (non-air holding bonds, such as rubbing strake material) and in all honesty, don't notice any difference.
