Ive rather frustratingly just lost a second buyer. Having agreed to buy a boat that was advertised very clearly as not having a trailer he now saids i should thrown in a trailer. Ebay have pulled it. When its a scam they delete the auction details as well, never to be seen again.

Yeah, they are pretty good at that thankfully. Unfortunately some do occasionally still get caught out though.

Might have been good to string him along for a while though! I did that with a "seller" when I looked to buy my rib and found a dodgy ad.

These scammers have been at the same sort of tricks on E bay for some time. The story always is that for some reason they cannot meet up ie they are on a rig , abroad ,pilot etc etc. The one I got involved with told me that he was in the army and on active duty blah blah, by this time I had worked out he was not all he appeared to be so I asked him which barracks he was stationed at. Some place way up north was his swift reply ( I cannot recall the exact place) I replied that he was in luck and that I was a serving soldier and I was being sent from my base in Hereford to this place in the north. Needless to say never had a reply. Regards Jim
