Although my engine (2019 Merc 150) is E10 approved, I always dose the 90L fuel tank with Mercury Quickstor.
Two reasons really, it has lube properties for the fuel system in general, and if for any reason I don't use the boat for a few months (unlikely) the fuel will not water separate, but like @Pikey Dave, I also have a 2 micron filter fitted in the console. As yet, it has never seen even a drop of water.
Of more concern to me, will be the folk that are using E10 with rubber hoses that are not designed for that fuel. The 'drying out' makes them perish real quick.
I think there are a lot of unfounded urban myths and hype surrounding E10, but for sure, some of the risks are there if you throw caution to the wind.
Remember, the USA and Oz have had E10 for years.
