Easter weekend

So who's going to be braving the Easter weekend weather and blowing away the winter cobwebs, and where are intrepid ribbers heading?
We should be out on a shakedown from Brixham on Sun - at least the engine fired at the first turn yesterday:thumbup:

I visited a fishing show at Southsea Marina yesterday and ended up looking over a Parker 660 Hardboat

It's on my list Andre

I seriously liked the headroom of the cabin and can see the advantages of the twin helm positions, that's a great idea and could only have come from someone who has close relationship with RIBs. Attention of detail however was something I never doubted and is as expertly put together as any off your Parker RIB offerings.

One personal gripe I had was the fact the fuel tank is a little on the small side. I'd have preferred an 180ltr or 200ltr capacity option, but that said there is plenty of under deck storage and I'm sure a second tank could be fitted fairly easily.

I haven't had a Sea trial yet, but Nigel (the owner) said that the 3 times he'd taken his out (twice in a F5 and once in the calm) it handled better than any fishing boat that he'd had before.

Is the hull based on a RIB design or something completely different?

Well we had a good morning out in Torbay shaking down & getting everyone comfortable again, then running out of Torquay after lunch we lost the tell tale from the engine - not good news. Ended up limping back to Brixham at 3kts praying the engine wouldn't overheat. Still not sure what the problem is. Still, day on the water, and being fine & flat not a bad time to have an engine issue - better than a force 5 & heavy seas😨

We were out in sea lochs around the Isle of Harris for some fresh easter air. Stunning weather and some fun waves!

Easter Monday was for sure the best day of the weekend . Lunch in Yarmouth and a blast to the Needles and Freshwater Bay a very good way to spend Easter Monday

Lee, I must have missed you in Alum Bay
