At least he has the balls to come on here and give his view.
If he was the low life that you have him down for he wouldn't bother? Unless he is an uneducated low life which I don't think he is.
Not sure but I think that the Channel Islands still have hanging. Maybe you can put in a good word.

Maybe I'm being a little slow...please enlighten me. You've stated boldly that Mr. Bonham-Smith is going to have a wake up call. I can't believe you're going to arrange this with BT now you have his phone number.
Come on...you've stated it...what's going to happen?

TimW what was actually said was "I think Roopy-Poops MIGHT be in for a rude awakening" which suggests that if this is the way he treats his customers then someone is going to pop round and smash his face in which in all fairness is what will eventually happen if you continue to openly shaft people.
I know you are one of his poodles so it makes sence that you would defend him but really when you look at his history do you want to be associated with this twit?

Perhaps I'm being a bit quick now. Re-reading your post, you said "he might be in for a rude awakening"
So it's not a definite then....?

Tim if you don't know the guy and have never met him why are you defending him when he is clearly in the wrong.
I suspect if it was not for this thread and the fact that this character is getting humiliated in a public forum then Great Dane would not be getting his engine.
Chris

Chris...please could you point out just exactly where I have defended him?
I was simply curious about Nos24rwhatever's comment that "he may be in for a rude awakening"
Defend him?...not that I'm aware of.

I dunno...but coming onto this thread just blasting the guy is obviously fine for some people, and they obviously feel they have good reason.
It may produce a result for the Great Dane which is excellent.
A "forum" is for discussion. If someone makes a comment, is there anything wrong asking him what he means by it?

...and you still haven't shown me where I defended Mr. Bonham-Smith.
Do you think you can do that?

Tim I think I have met you briefly outside Movida a couple of years back and you did kindly lead us down the Thames on the first Blade Run adventure aka the Deauville Rally.
I wouldnt say poodle just making an opinion of things going on in the thread. Like most of you just sticking your snout in other peoples business and often forming the wrong judgements on things. Frankly I like to make my own opinions of people from having dealt with them or met them personally not just going on heresay.

Oh and Chris, before you trawl back throught the September 2005 Deauville Rally thread, my support there was for the rally itself and Ed Balme the organiser, rather than Rupert who I believe was only a participant.

My point is that all your posts both on this thread and on previous threads seem to defend RBS, maybe your hoping he will invite you to be the pace boat again at one of his events (that he is not involved in, has no knowledge of etc etc ?)
Oh and how did you manage not to meet him when you were pace boat at the world famous Deaville Rally......

I offered to help Great Dane because I know how it feels to get ripped off on ebay although not for a sum as large as this. I have seen the endless emails from RBS over a 6 month period that are clearly the work of someone trying to pull the wool over (let me know if you would like to see them)
If you really don't know and have never met the guy then I am sorry however I think what you see in this thread is how a number of people are standing up for a member of the Rib.net community who has been constantly fed bullcrap over a period of six months.
How would you feel if it were you at the receiving end?
Chris

That's all right...
no, I don't know Rupert at all and certainly am not standing up for him.
But then again, I don't follow the herd and knock him as I don't think anyone other than the two people involved really have all the facts in these issues.
Unfortunately many commentators on issues brought up on forums such as ribnet like to be the judge and jury and jump to conclusions so quickly, followed by bold statements of outrage. Then others get caught up in the hysteria. I think it's important to question the issues. Unfortunately on Ribnet, any hint of deviating from the opinions of the loudest voices appears to be a heinious crime.
Still, it's good that the debate appears to have hastened the deliverary of the Great dane's engine.

It seems clear to me that:
Great Dane has not received his engine despite paying for it 6 months ago.
Great Dane purchased the engine via the seller's stipulated payment method.
Great Dane is not responsible for any problems with the sellers Paypal account.
The seller has failed to deliver or re-imburse Great Dane by multiple available methods of doing so.
The only reason that the above cannot be fact is that Great Dane is lying though his teeth; and I do not believe that.
The rumours about Rupert's business ethics are just rumours but fact is he is now a convicted person with a police record.
Info. for Rupert: you are now no longer able to get a Visa to visit the USA due to your conviction, so do not try.
So Rupert, what do you have to say?

Mr. Ruber bonham-twith (smith)
This is a quote from one of his mails.....
well its certainly not a police matter on this side! I dont understand how the paypal system works. They seem to change it all the time. i thought you bought it through them as it was protected? Why are they now not paying out when the item was lost by the courier.
Sorry for my misspelling i'm not english..
Jorgen
