To agree with the quote from that link; I'd rather do that in front of my parents too rather than do anything with biffer

The term used to describe a female of ill repute, who's physical appearance leaves alot to be desired

Ahh the joys of alcohol, they all look beautiful after a few drinks!

Please tell me that outboardspares.net is not a doddgy company? I've just spent £400 on a second hand crankshaft which I've now been waiting for for two weeks...?

It is easy to mess with this guy on ebay. Does he have to pay $ to post a sell on ebay?

Set up brand new account with ebay and "buy it now" all his parts and motors. If he has no "buy it now" than just place a super high bid where the price becomes so outrageos that no ligit buyer would even touch it.

The funny thing will happen when he contacts you for the payment, you can always say "the cheque is in the mail" and then "the mailman was stupid and sent the cheque back for no reason back to you....I'll put $ back in the mail today and you get it in 2 days..."

...Turn the hassle over to him, have him call you for money, he'll have to think that you a a "ligit" buyer!!!!

How is that sound?

That sucks, this thread has been a blessing for people who would have otherwise been duped by this guy. gutted you didn't find it b4 you got conned!

i would have thought that £200 would be small change for you working as a pundit on match of the day

Alanhanson,

Rather than asking for details as many people won't see this, try trawling through this thread and using the 'contact member' facility to get hold of the people who've been conned.

I have pmd persons but only had 3 replies
1 is still owed a (large) in my mind amount and the other 2 sorted out the problems
i can only assume that persons are not checking messages
i will wait a couple of weeks as i am sure he still owes lots of persons
i dont think 2 complaints will be enough for police to intervene

Try using the 'email' tab rather than PM.

You'll be able to pay someone to find out where he lives etc, then either pay someone else to give him a good kicking or do it yourself.

Sadly I suspect even with a long list of people who have been ripped off the police response is likely to be underwhelming at best.

Apologies if you have tried all of these:

How did you pay the £200? If via paypal, have you raised a complaint with them? I know other people on this thread have tried unsuccessfully but you should at least try. If via credit card either direct or via paypal, have you contacted your card company for a charge back?

Other than that, what about the government run MoneyClaim online:

Welcome to Money Claim Online
Making an online court claim for money : Directgov - Money, tax and benefits

It costs £30 (AIUI you can claim this from the debtor as well if you are successful) and if he ignores it you can then take further action. There may be debt collection agencies who can help, just make sure you read the small print and don't leave yourself liable to any charges.

Finally a lot of home insurance policies include a free legal helpline. There is also Trading Standards and Citizens advice Bureau

Cheers

Chris
