Other than the price, I don't notice anything immediately suspicious. Typo maybe?

Ah!

Oh well, if anyone is stupid and greedy enough to imagine they could buy that RIB for a couple of grand, and then pay up front without seeing it, they deserve to be parted with their cash . . .

It was sold in Salcombe two days ago to a guy who drove it down to Falmouth by water - I saw him leave in it!

Here is the reply I had when I contacted him - think I will have a bit of fun....

I have to tell you that I'm currently out of town with some major business problems so pick up isn't an option. Sorry about that... Hope you will understand... But, you can still buy the Ribtec 7.9m Rib... The selling price will be 2100 pounds...For this price I will include free delivery of the Ribtec 7.9m Rib anywhere in UK. You will also have access to a refund policy on this transaction. However, before any delivery can be done we have to start the transaction on ebay so we can be both protected.
In order to start the transaction on the eBay system I need to receive some details from you:
- your full name and address (for your invoice + delivery purposes)...
As soon as the above details will be provided I'll start the official transaction on eBay and they will notify you about this. You'll also receive important guidelines + instructions from them ( please go through them exactly ).
Will wait to hear from you. Thank you for your interest...

Codders, I've seen it before. You'll get an email which will look very like an ebay email but it will contain a link where you will be expected to go to pay your money. Obviously, don't click the link.
Forward the mail to ebay at spoof@ebay.co.uk . Also contact them normally to tell them what you've done.

I am of the same opinion, anybody that buys something on ebay going well below market price and then pays for it up front without name and address etc etc almost deserves to get screwed.
Any large item that states pickup is not possible is generally a scam, anything that doesn't allow a landline phone number and address is generally a scam, anything that doesn't look right is generally a scam and so and so on.
I've been lucky so far and only lost a few quid here and there on ebay but I certainly wouldn't part with much money on the basis described.........
