Anything above average will be a tight fit in a SR4

If you just want to go there and not ponce about dropping divers off or picking them back up then it should be quite do-able and an sr4 would be admirable craft. Ther's no end of SR4 obsessed fora members here who'll sweep you up and you'll be there before reason can intervene - good luck! have you made a will? Only kidding, the SR4 outift here are some very sensible, trustworthy people you will love it.

It's 14 miles I think so as long as the wind isn't throwing up to many waves you'll be fine.

I'm going to add this to my must do trips next year or possibly later this year. I'm working on a site in Polperro at The moment and you can see the light house in the distance looks very reasonable trip if the weather is right. Like on Tuesday but did notice a subarine mooching around out there today probably don't want to meet one of those on the way!

Is there any where to launch and park in Looe? Or would Plymouth be a better launch site?

Looe has a good slipway but is very tidal dependant, Plymouth you can launch and recover at any state.

Can any of the local boys recommend places to stay & somewhere safe for boats if people want to make a weekend of it ? I know thats what Google's for but will probably get a better answer this way (well maybe)!
