Well I was there, oustanding spectacle
The rib with all the metal work is Orca Seafaris 1, that runs eco tourism trips from Falmouth, it was also the boat that towed ellen back into Falmouth.
Here is one of many pictures

Dame Ellen MacArthur
I bet the atmosphere was great. I've just seen her home coming on the news and i really wished i could have been there.
She's a star.

Nice to see you got the B&Q side of the boat ..... she must have done some dictating to the media as they all seem to have got it right. The French film the other side .... which is blue.

Three more
1. For the French
2. For the Ribsters
3. Just to prove even Dame Ellen knows a good boat when she sees one.

You wouldn't get me on that thing for all the tea in china. I'd miss the salt spray in your face, coffe down the oilies and general open air pleasures.

Absolutely excellent pictures Stephen. They give us a real taste of the atmosphere. Thanks for sharing them. I especially like the close ups of Ellen, particularly the one with all the ticker-tape and the one of her holding the trophy aloft. Great stuff!

The Daily Telegraph.........
.....yesterday had what had to be the very best shot of her return - did anyone else see it. It was an ariel shot of Ellen and craft centred in the picture surrounded by well over 50 other small craft. 80% if not more were.....yep, you've guessed it, RIBS. I'm thinking of asking the Telegraph if they will release/email me a hard copy as I'd like to have it framed. Once again, well done Ellen. Imagine how she feels today (apart from hung-over).

Yeah, I bought that edition too. It certainly was an amazing sight. The atmosphere there must have been incredible.
