Emsworth, local knowledge
We have to go to Emsworth tomorrow (27/3). HW is at 1521.
Will it be accessible to us in the RIB or will it be dry?
Andy

Depends what time you're going! I haven't been there for a while but the visitors pontoon should certainly be good for HW+/-2 hrs, and possibly 3 in a RIB.

Local advice is, you wont be able to get all the way in until around 13.30 and will need to be getting out before 18.00.

Where is the best place to head for? We've never been there before.

There are a few pubs and tea rooms, not sure what else there is there, I have never bothered to stop and have a look round.

Either moor on the town key and go up into the town for some nice pubs or cafes or if you moor in the marina there is a very nice new cafe with a balcony looking over the harbour

Seconded
If you are feeling really flush, and I mean Really very flush, then the food and service at '36 on the Quay' in the evening is worth it, although we've not been in a few years.
Nasher.
