End cones

Folks I am thinking of fitting end cones (cone shape) to the tubes on the SR4. There are none fitted at present. If I buy (where?) the two end cones is it a straight forward stick on job or will I have to do any tricky construction? I am thinking the rubber end cones will help protect the pointed end of the tube? GS

End cones are fitted from the inside. You will have to split the tube and fit them the like. It's not really a DIY exercise

Are you talking about end cones (as the tube diameter tapering to a point), or end caps that fit on the pointy part of the existing cones (or tube ends, if you will)?

For the former, see Biffer's reply; for the latter, not sure there's much of a need for them.
