Enzyme Fuel Additive

I've just read a full page ad in a sailing mag about a new enzyme fuel treatment called Startron and marketed by Starbrite.

Is this stuff similar to Soltron and has anyone used it?

If so, is it worth putting it in with petrol or diesel?

Your comments are always appreciated

Same question being asked on YBW.com and Depsol who sometimes posts on here is not very complimentary. Apparently there are difference potions around all using the name "Soltron" but our's (Europe) is the strongest according to Depsol. Me, I don't know if there is any difference but I do dose the red stuff with it as it helps to reduce the smog and keep the Solenti crowd happy when we are crusing in company.

Thanks for that Pete.It would appear that this Startron stuff is not on the shelves yet and having just cleaned my fuel tank there were some deposits of black slime on the floor that I don't want to get into the system.

I'll put in some Soltron as a preventative measure.

It should be noted that Depsol sells Soltron so is unlikely to be complimentary about his competition! That being said many oil burners speak highly of it. Yer pays yer money and takes yer choice.
