eraser 2 progress report
Hi Everyone
We have been very busy over the last few months and I thought it only polite to update you with our progress.
Having overhauled our boat ourselves, installing new engines and many other bits we decided it was only right to race it. We managed to do a late entry into the Harmsworth, which also included the British Endurance Championship. The end result was second place in the Harmsworth, and first place in the British Endurance.
Having really enjoyed this experience, when we were approached by the promoters of the Powerboat P1 world championship, we could not resist their invitation to race as a wild card in the last weekend of the season at the Tunisian Grand Prix.
Conditions were rough on the first race (Saturday) and we cleaned up, much to the dissapointment of some of the Italians who were complaining it was too rough for them. The second race (sunday) was like racing on a lake, we got beaten by the 2 fastest boats in the flat and managed to hold third place. This combined result was enough to get 1st overall making us the winners of the Tunisian Grand Prix, representing Britain!
Needless to say we were well pleased, and never expected to win but hope to get some sponsership and return even stronger for the full series next year.
