Eurocraft GB LTD Sinks

Eurocarft GB LTD went into receivership last week. And from what I hear they have allot of outstanding monies to creditors.
If you have or know of anyone who has a boat in there having work done it maybe a good idea to find out what's going on and remove it from the premisses.

I've also heard that two existing staff maybe taking the company on and trading as Eurocraft LTD (with out the GB).
Now I normally don't listen to rumours and I know of the effect of Chinese whispers but this came from a very reliable friend.

I have never rated them. all tubes we had done by them had to be repaired in the first twelve months, be it they were only minor repairs though.

Still, I have to admit, it sad to see these companies go

Your not the only person who's not been happy with them. Some horror stories about.

Clarification

Eurocraft GB Ltd went into administration on Friday 18th Sept.

The stock, assets and goodwill were bought by Eurocraft Limited, a company set up by two of the managers of Eurocraft GB Ltd (myself being one of them). Business will continue from the existing premises with the existing staff.

The owners of Eurocraft Limited were not directors or shareholders of Eurocraft GB Ltd.
There is no involvement of any directors or shareholders of Eurocraft GB Ltd in Eurocraft Limited.

Sadly the post that suggested that some suppliers had been owed money is correct and it remains to be seen how much money will be recovered by the joint administrators to repay towards these and other debts.

Customers who had boats at Eurocraft for retube or repair had no need to worry as the administrators recognised these as customer property not Eurocraft GB Ltd property.

Hopefully this information clarifies the situation.

Thanks for the update.

Will the new company, having acquired stock, assets & goodwill, honour any warranty issues arising out of the business of Eurocraft GB Ltd.?

Warranty

Although the new company is not obliged to honour warranties, we will be looking where possible to resolve any problems that may arise from Ribs tubed by Eurocraft GB Ltd.

Owners who purchased a new Rib will be covered by the warranty (and probably Sale of Goods Act) offered by the Rib manufacturer.
