Evinrude v’s 4 Stroke - Outboard

Does anyone know what the advantages/disadvantages would be between an Evinrude 2 stroke direct injection and a 4 stroke (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki) outboard engine?
I am under the impression that the Evinrude would be considerably lighter and a little more powerful than a 4 stroke so is the ideal engine choice for a RIB?
Am looking to get a RIB between 6.7m-7.3m with HP of between 200-250hp.
Over the years I have had a Yamaha 50hp and a Mercury 150hp and could not fault either. Both never let me down.
Would an Evinrude be the best option on a RIB?
Thanks in advance for your help. Matt

I repowered a few years ago with the Etecs, at the time I could have got Yams or Suzuki's for similar money. I went with the Etecs on the slimmer design to fit on the transom, there was also a smal difference in weight.

Plus side is that the power is fantastic and there are long service intervals, only down side I've experienced is that they are very sensitive to there being any water in the fuel. With a good racor fuel filter this shouldn't be a problem.
