Excalibur ribs are back

I for one am very excited about the Return of Excalibur RIBs to Crosshaven, Co Cork. Haven Marine are returning to building these boats very very soon. I own and operate two of them myself. I have both a 9m and 10m RIB, I’m looking forward to seeing these getting on the water!

Great to hear. I visited the factory many years ago when they first started production. Excellent boats. I wonder is it the original owner or a completely new setup?

RIBase
They look very nice - quite Delta like with the pronounced sheer.

Good luck to them.

I Googled them and this was one of the links:

The original owner is involved with some of the design but it’s the original workers have kept trading under a new company they set up shortly after Excalibur shit down so it’s the same quality they are pumping out. I have owned a number of their RIBs and I can’t fault them. I use them everyday and they are super boats, far better than anything else I have driven. The can be found on HavenMarine.ie

Also to be noted they are also mercury, mariner & Suzuki dealers so you can get everything through them. I have purchased a 300hp and 350hp Verados for my 9 & 10m Excalibur’s.

They been offering Excalibur RIBs to order in the intervening years as Havenmarine but Redbay have really been filling the gap Excalibur left. A very worthy and related option for sure.
I understood the new owners of Crosshaven Boatyard bought it to concentrate on wind farm support so it's a nice surprise and a great example of synergy that this is where the RIBs are going to be built.
BTW anyone who likes a Redbay is going to feel right at home with an Excalibur.

It's mental, I hadn't realised it was quite that long - certainly over a year when I last checked. Excalibur were/are very solid RIBs and it's good to see them selling boats. Just as an aside and apologies for the thread hijack - we have another RIB builder not too far from me who seem to be supplying open RIBs throughout the country. I have no personal experience of them. A quick peek through their facebook page suggests they got a good deal on some orange gelcoat at some point. Atlantic Composites, Donegal - 7.5m open RIB.
