Exciting....new arrival on the way!
This is going to be a long weekend.... this beautiful big beastie came off the boat yesterday and is currently sat on a flatbed for delivery to us on Monday
Huge thanks to Matt (martini) for helping us make this happen.... cant wait to get her here and get on with adding seating /coding.... Hope we can give her the home she deserves after all Matts hard work.... That build thread still rates as one of my all time favourite threads on here!
Not superstitious here (before anyone comments ) and to keep up our bird name theme, shes going to be known as 'Tystie'.... The Auk theme being obvious, the colour assisting the choice, and the fact that (rare for us) we have a breeding pair in Fishguard where she'll be moored

Well done Dan.
And you've got a full build thread on here to cover every aspect of it.

I know, and Matt has even more pics he's taken....will really assist with any work etc! Need to add 4 more seats (currently 8).... like the idea of a sculpted 4 person rear bench (Ribquest one is currently fav, have been talking with Dave).... we've found many people don't really get on with jockeys...a mix could be good!

Lovely boat, I was lucky enough to have a good look when Matt came over for the Bournemouth Air Show, a few years ago. Hope all goes well for your new baby

Hi Dan, sorry I missed you when you called. Your thread explains all
The fabric came from our Polish upholstery producer. Let me know how much you want and I will get you a price

A quick update on the new boat.....after a few busy weeks in the workshop.
When we bought her I'd intended replacing the removeable deck sections which had suffered water ingress, but as we intend hanging onto the boat for a few years, decided to go for it and strip out the deck and rebuild
No turning back when I got this far

After drawing a blank with a non wood deck alternative, went with Robbins super elite marine ply (25 yr guarantee, rnli spec)..... Dry fitted having replaced hardwood stringer packers, cleaned out hull /foam etc and coated in epoxy, 3 coats....

Cold temps necessitated building an insulated / heated tent in the barn to ensure correct curing..... 4 coats on underside if sheets, 2 on top (clear), deck then mechanically fixed down ready for final top coats.....
Really handy being able to hang the outboards off the steel while we work!

Always seems a shame to cover it up when it looks like this.... Allowed a full cure before the next two black epoxy coats (over screw heads etc).....

A thorough scrub of the amine blush, then the final 2 black epoxy coats..... Powder coating ent off at this stage too.... Also had a result on ebay with a rear bench which with some mods will work perfectly with the boat / style and need to add seating for coding....
