At Exmouth they've got a forklift thingy that launches you into the Marina - but it doesn't go low enough to work at low tide! And you're right it is horrible!

Lauch sites
What about Brixham Slipway. Full access all states of tides. Concrete and very wide slipway. Car Parking and trailer parking right there as well.

Exmouth has more than one slip way. The Manmhead on which is the one I suspect to which you refer is not nice if the tide is running hard. There are others such as the one round by the recreation ground, drive through the car park by the swimming pool and several smaller place wehre you drive onto hard sand can be found. Try walking amongst the houses and flats around the marina.
Not sure what they charge for lifting you in out using the fork lift thingy ?

wich part of the beach are you talking?
was under the impression that you arent allowed on there with vehicles... pity you can not use the slip be side the life boat as that is well puka..
remember years ago launching right down end of coast road with my flatacraft 4 bit lighter than this one though...
interested to see where you are talking about..

I have seen cars / boat trailers on the sand both round by the recreation ground, where they do the racing and wind surfing) .
Have also seen the slip at the sea end of the front to which you refer. Not being a local have nver driven my own trailer onto the sand to launch as I am not sure which bits are safe to drive on which not.
Cider Daze
I would like to meet up some time when I am down that way so you could perhaps show me where you drive across the sand to launch.
I know round thru the car park by the swimming pool they have a hieght barier which prevents my boat from passing under ( A frame to high)
Is it safe to drive on the sand else where and reach the water ?
