Eyelets

Hi. I am having trouble replacing the eyelets for the grab handles on my rib. does any one know where I could have this work done? Preferably in the South Yorkshire area. Many thanks.

i have just put 2 on a boat this afternoon have you had a go yourself at all ,other than that there most be a tarp cover makers in your area,i have just googled south yorkshire tarpaulins and theres half a dozen in your area.

eyelets

Hi thank you for your reply I have tried it using the small hand tools I got with a bag of eyelets but they just dont seat properly will I need to have it done professionaly? I have to replace 8 eyelets.

They can be a bit fiddly ,i place a small lump or sledge hammer underneath as a solid base and just tap very lightly at first until the die starts to curl the rim over ,biggest problem is punching the correct size hole if starting from scratch ,if you havent the punch the correct size make one from a bit of metal tube sharpened at one end ,
