Finally dragged out the barn !

WEEKEND?

Hell no, I'm still sorting mine a year after buying it.

Just when I decided it was time to get it floating the port engine decided to start popping fuses for fun.

Turned out to be a duff IGN barrel.

What engines do you run ? The last two years I have had a problem with it miss firing at about 3500 revs after a good service and a resort of o "crank sensor " reset last may it has been excellent ?

How far do you have to drag it home then ?

Got a 2008 E-tec 115 and a 3.3 as a backup. May fire up the E-tec tonight, always goes 1st turn of the key even after winter. Just coming up to 6 years old so 2nd service is due, not looking fwd to the bill for that.

Only about 16 miles to home today then nearly 30 to the dealer tomo. Should be ok, new bearings/cables/brakes all fitted a couple of weeks ago. Must remember to take the wheel nuts with me this time, wouldn't be the 1st time I drive over with wheels but no nuts.

I love the evinrudes. I bought a new 90 for my dive club and convinced my cousin to buy a 75.
When the time is right I'll be getting the same as hours. 115 etec.
Mines the 115 ficht. Still a excellent engine. Smooth, fast, economical and so much lighter that the equivalent 4 stroke.

Totally agree with you, I started with Evinrude 25 0n a Avon s400 back in the 70s. For the last few years been running a Ficht 150 and all I can say it is a fantastic engine and when I upgrade it would be an Etec no hesitation
