It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve been out due to weather etc so took the opportunity today to get a run up and down the coast.
The forecast 10-12 mph southerly seemed considerable fresher and we were greeted by a short 4 to 6 foot chop upon leaving Kilkeel. It was also quite overcast with visibility of around a mile.
After a bit of indecision we decided to run up Carlingford lough to Warrenpoint for a coffee before making our way back for a mooch around Annalong harbour.
The lough itself afforded us some shelter but outside it was a different beast.
Apart from a few small issues it was an enjoyable day out and I’m really starting to enjoy the Xs rib as my confidence in it grows.
