Nice console! Do you work with CAD design ? I've ordered a Valiant PT750. I wanted a black one, and got it confirmed 2 weeks ago that they can deliver black hull with grey/black tubes next year. I looked at the Ullman console but found it a little bit to big and expencive. Also found the placing of the hatch a little unpractical. The man at MarinePower was not happy about it either.
I going to get 2 seats from Ullman. Wonder if you got a better price than me ?
Happy if you send me a PM with your offer.
Not 100% shure about what engine opt to choose. Think I go for a 275 Verado although several people ( Hi Petrov !) advice me to go for twin inst.
It has to be Merc/Mariner so the alternative is 2 x 150 opti.

There is a company here that have a Valiant pt with Inboard diesel, and with 12 persons onboard he have to move the passengers forward to get the boat on plan, and his top speed is maybe 40 knots, i think that is to slow to give people great experience.
I allso think that one 275 verado is not the way to go, when you put 12 people onboard i think that it's better with two engines as you will have more trust. i allso think that two 150 would be to small. we have 2 x 225 on your Revenger 29 and the boat would have been boring to drive/ride with two 150 engines, you always have that littel extra with two big engines.
There is a company not fare from Trondheim that has a valiant 7,5 with 2 150 opti engines and the would have bigger engines if they could buy a new boat today.
Roy are you aware that you could register the boat i Norsk ordinært skipsregister and you dont have to pay hp taxes?

what is stopping them

Hello again ! Max engine rated to 300 hp. Marinepower will not allow more than that.
I have ordered the boat with a twin engine bracket, The idea was to start with a 275 Verado. Let it run for two seasons and then change to 2 x 150 verados ( Arrive in 06/07 ) But what to choose still confuses me.
Norsk ordinært skipsregister ? Who to contact ? Is this a simpel thing to do ?
Mvh

Nonsense, i disagree with you.......... we take people out, and cruise at around 25 - have never had a complaint to date.
Yes people like to go fast, but there must surely be a limit - read about company's taking people out boasting about speeds of 60 knots - christ you hit a jellyfish at that kind of speeds with 12 passengers, who are in your command , there will be an accident and it will be a bad one, you can show people a great time, without these speeds, it means that you have to offer allot more, in the way of nature, sightseeing, and the local area, an skipper duties but it is done and it is done well by many.......... anyone can get in a boat, and say hold on for your feckin life, and give it full wellie up to 60 odd knots, there is no person to person skills involved.......... poss have a good time... dunno, depends on your passengers?????
think what happens if you crash your car at 60mph+............. or a minibus....... at least if you do and get out, there is no worry about you drowning on the tarmac, but there is in a RIB that does this speed.......
Means when this does happen, and it will, that insurance will hit new levels, and make it harder for allot more people....
Opening a can of worms...
Pete

Speed alone is not the only thrill - 25kts in the right waves FAR more exciting than 60 on a mill pond!!!

Its not that you race around with the boat full of passengers in 50/60 knots.
Its knowing that you can , if you want to.
Usual speed when cruising with a group of other charter ribs is 35-40 knots flat water. Far less with waves. Most people have the time of their life with this speeds.
Must have engine to achieve this speed at 3/4 trottle. so i think a 275 or 2 x 150 will do.

Hi, Actionboat!
You earlier this year mentioned that you were going to order a new Scorpion (for charter) for next season. Have you decided anything yet, boat, engines etc.?
