Flaps!

I finally managed to get a pic of the flappy thing over my flooding hull for those that wanted to see it.

Looks simple enough.
How long does it take to settle/flood?

I concidered something similar but would probably leave a small hole, say 1-2", to allow it to flood within a minute of coming off the plane.

It probably takes 20 seconds or so for it to flood rather than immediately.

Enough to stop it refilling during sharp turns etc.
