Anyone point me in the direction of one please?

Thanks.
Seen the tech spec but what I'm looking for is video demonstration of one actually being used in daylight at a distance.
My boating falls within daylight hours - that isn't going to change - so before buying I'd like an idea of just how visible it is in real life. Boat is used for a solid month annually & the LED ones would work out cheaper in the long term than pyrotechnics but if it's not as noticeable in daylight then not worth buying one.
As I said, plenty of 'Look how good it is at night' but daylight ones are conspicuous by their absence.

We were looking at doing a test of one in daylight taking it 0.5/1/2/3 miles off shore and see what could be seen 3miles and wave high tan faction will play a large part in visibility

Covid put a stop to any practical tests

If a daytime distress signal is used it should be Orange Smoke surely?
Far more visible
Red Flares are for night use, so daylight visibility of LED is not really an issue if you have orange smoke, or am I missing something?

The RYA list the flare as being the final step in a layered approach rather than being the first line of defence.

Yes and if you are worried about it spitting flame, you can use a floating smoke.

OMO when I dropped the pyros my main reason was the fire risk with DSC, mobile, PLB, Odeo , personnel strobe and a mirror I was happy the Odeo with extra time element and safer was a replacement for the fireworks
