Hi I have just bought a flatacraft force3 GT and have been told on the ribnet that it can take a max 30hp Long shaft outboard.

Regards,

RIBase
Mate of mine had one when I was school. I think that it would take 25hp - but don't guote me on that.

I know that it can take 15hp. Another mate at uni was able to water ski behind his with a 15hp.

Not sure what to pay for one but they come up ocasionally on boatsandoutboards £800 - £1500 ?

i think the force 3 is only up to 15hp and i would imagine a short shaft. Its the one thats more like a tender.

The Force 3 GT is rated up to 30hp and has the front dash with steering etc and 4 back-to-back seats. On my 3 GT there was a panel on the dash that detailed the engine ratings for the whole range of flatacraft ribs.
