Floating Dock

Does anyone have any experience of floating docks?

I hope to buy one for my new 5.4m rib, but there seems to be quite a few different companies offering them. I have had quotes from £2000 to £5000.

Confused! Help appreciated.

I’ve worked with Versadock on a few commercial jobs, amazing stuff, very stable and flexible in its setup. We’ve had scaffolding towers set up on it with guys working with power tools above and still very stable.

If you can afford to wait, they appear every every now and again on the second hand market and I think, relative to their original price, they are always a bargain.

Watch out for clones from suppliers that promise the earth and fail to deliver, used ones do crop up.

Keep an eye out you can always buy a larger one and sell off unused blocks...
