Flush mount locking hatch latch.

Anyone know anywhere in the UK that sells a flush mounting hatch lock/latch similar to either of these two?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Orca-...mZ310078958780

Or

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACCON...mZ200231407920

Thanks

Its the cost of the shipping that scares me, puts them out of my budget, must be something a bit closer to home.

Ah yes it is a bit steep for such a small item, 1 of them its more than the item itself!

Someone will be along soon with the name of a uk firm that does loads of hinges, catches etc, I cant remember it now. Links have been posted before so a search on here might find it.

Hi, I buy from Protex for work, but haven't found anything in their range thats suits my need.
I have a couple of their over-centre latches holding my console door closed and they are VERY nice, well made, pieces of kit.

I used these on my boat. Got them from the Barge in Bursledon last year and they had loads of them (But was a year ago) were a £5er each.

In actual fact Nasher, how many do you want? I have 1 spare one that never got used.

That's what I figured, but wanted to make sure. I'll have a dig around after the Kids are in bed.

It's my cousins company - We use one of these http://www.protex.com/product.asp?in...lush%20Latches to keep our hatch closed on the race boat - this was a plastic one, not sure if it's in production yet?

Cookee Hi.

I did see those Protex ones and considered them seriously, however i didn't think they lookled very watertight because of the way you push the latch into the locker to open it.
Is there a seal around them to stop the water getting in when closed?

Sorry, confused, which company is your cousins?

I wouldn't say watertight, but we use it in the floor locker in the 770's (stainless version) and on the race boat, neither of which are very critical, it depends on the use. it may be possible to fabricate something to keep the water out if you really like it or thee is nothing else available! Protex is my cousins company, parent company H S Cooke - my grandfather!

I bought a couple of these from Alexander Industrial in the uk. They are Southco latches and are fantastic quality and waterproof, but they cost about £40 each . I paid up cos they were the only thing I could find that would do the job and give a really smart finish.
