NO I dont think so , Tom has told me that he has 26 big ribs on order this year , ie 8.4 or larger , and the trend with his client base is to go bigger and bigger .....Protector ribs also build a fly bridge Rib , that Austrailan harbour police use

great

i love the idea, maybe save some cash, and one day....lol, i wish, i love the idea of a flybridge rib, nice sun area, seating, .....nice, although once they get really big the tubes dont have as much importance, and the price tag will be very steep!

Swginn

Yes we can believe it!

Sorry about the duplicate post. I had it submitted before i realised you had beaten me to it.

I think @ this stage you probaly owe yourself a visit to Redbay or go see one of their user rallies.

And wait until you see their bigggg rib!

amazing people, amazing boats.

It looks better in the flesh!!!

Still not quite a Botnia Targa but getting there. If Redbay have any sense they will go down that road - people LOVE walkarounds - you get so much more deck space instead of being stuck in a cockpit!!!

The Botnia is a very clever design all packed into as little as 25 or 27' - you get a galley - toilet and a few berths - just stick some tubes around it!!!

I had a quick tour of this boat during construction/fitout (thanks Tom! ). It is truely awesome - it has piles of space in the cockpit, berths for 4+2 and a decent heads/shower. The flybridge layout works very well, neatly merging into the access to the cabin. The twin yamahas are nicely shoehorned under the (lifting) aft deck. We left the workshop with only one thought between us.......

Redbay v Targa

Codders,

I agree the Targa is a lovely boat.

Somehow though I would rather face into a ten foot breaking sea with the hardnose Redbay and its ability to displace water.

Enjoy

Flybridge RIB at RIBEX

Hi
I believe that there is every possibility that the Rib discussed above will be at Ribex.

This boat is owned by Mike Doyle and will be based in Sark. She a lovely design and extremly practical for the Channel Islands. I was privledged enough to be with Mike and discuss the first few drawings of her at his house almost a year ago now, inside the use of space is great and being a Redbay the sea keeping is great to.

Mike Doyle's boat.

I was toodling around in a friend's BW last week and I saw Mike Doyle's rib in Gsy and moored near Creux harbour. Looks pretty awesome. What's the cost?

rupert.
