foam / rubber deck covering....

Has anybody put high density foam tiles or similar on the deck? I was thinking of the interlocking type made fom rubber or foam to make it a bit nicer / safer to walk on. has anybody done anything similar?

foam

use it though its not glued down It protects the part of deck its on from damage from bottles and spare engine no problems yet and thats six months
