Formula 1 2003

That's it i've decided! I'm going to have a crack at the F1 crown for 2003,
the competition is looking a bit feeble for next season, so the time is right, my chosen steed will be my awsome BT 700RSR (BT=bathtub, 700=7ft) powered by the revered Chrysler 30 Autoelectric, like many of you ribsters, I can't see how those fellas with thier 85mph 29' stepped Revengers and 9mtr Mannerfelt/Pascoes with a mere 436bhp on the back think they're gonna get a look in, I'm with you guys

Look at that construction! do they make boats like that in SA?

As it goes, the quote about being a champion and a record holder is quite ironic! infact plural

I think one needs to keep it light hearted for the wannabe's that will neverbe!

Charles

AFTA POY DEN FTANEI H ALEPOY TA KANEI KREMASTATRIA

is a slang and in free translation

Things that a fox cannot reach sais that they are always hanging

the actual translation

these things that a fox cannot reach makes them look (the word look is implied) hanging (but doesn't trasnlate)

It looks like a fine contender for the crown

At least it doesn't have a silly rubber ring!

.......you disapoint me mate.
Don't you recognise your boat??
Which due to her genious 'engineer' could reach the 'supersonic ' speeds of 0.2 of a knot/hour.
This boat was the champ or all champs!!!
Pitty the engineer or the driver were not up to it and sunk it

BT 700RSR

Manos,

Whilst my racing steed may not look a million dollars, close inspection will reveal that the laminating and build quality is imeasurably better than some 'budget ribs' available from the 'other hemisphere' Incidentaly, I bet they'd like to find out who leaked those awfull pictures of thier handy work to the outside world!
Maybe I'm being a little harsh, we should wait and see how they stand up to the true 'destructive testing' of offshore competition, although of course, coming last and staying in one peice is no qualifacation, it's very easy to be an also-ran! Remember, second place is the first loser.

Regards, Splodge

I hear what you say.
But seriously now, you have to agree with me that not all boat or RIB manufactures are as bad.
The boat you show in the photo is filled with polyurethane (did I spelled it right?? ). Looks like it has a double keel (like a cat).
I do not think that it could be a Falcon since Falcon do not manufacture cats (they did very long time ago but not now) and do not make RIBs with yellow colour hulls either (look @ the falcon site if you like).
If it was a monohull I think that it may had been a GEMINI?? But then again I had a GEMINI for many years. Been everywhere in any type of weather (on my own and my family) and the boat was brilliant!!
In so often one boat may come out of production and be a badly made boat. This is life (no's perfect!!) and no one will lose any sleap over that.
I only do what I do because I like ie and ONLY for fun (wining is not my main concern and if it comes is an added bonus) and if I even manage to finish (even last) at least I can say that I've done that, had a good time and enjoyed it
Life is too short for getting all heated up about trevia!!
By the way good luck with the race!! and have a Merry Christmas

Confused!

Manos,
I think we may be talking/writing at crossed purposes, I would suggest you read my last post again! the photo I posted is a bath tub stuck in the sad remains of an unknown hull, just for a laugh! I was not suggesting it was a falcon!

To Splodge

Tell me how your going to beat everybody in your next racing season and what is the secret ingrediant.

Im think its great the way you just blow away the competion like that?

Im staggered, you obviously must know something,Go on Share your secrets,Come on give us all an education on how its done and a few little tips.

We try and share all our ideas in a resonable way and then come to our own conclusions.

Have you ever come second,if so how did that happen, and whos foult was it?.

Cheers Crazyhorse

Just for the record!

Just for the record, the fab picture at the start of this thread was infact taken by a friend whilst on holls in oz, he saw it on a beach and thought it would be a usefull bit of fun! mind you, with some of the quality prep I've seen around the racing circuit it may have come better than last if it were raced!

PS. just noticed the rather interesting use of the word "blow" buy Mr Crazyhorse! not unlike some newer H & R chaps on the forum I think the net is closing in!
