I am taking a boating virgin on an extended cruise next month and was looking at getting some decent quality foul weather gear for him rather than splashing out £100's when he may not even enjoy it. Any thoughts on possible places to buy second hand or rent?

Have a look at www.lalizas.com It's a Greek outfit, but their stuff is really not bad and very reasonable. If you're not too brand concious then it might do you and let's face it Henri Lloyd and Helly Hansen have been hijacked by Chavs anyway!!
