Yes ,your spot on ,1st outing today fifteen 20 NM out of port of Felixstowe ,down to the deben where theres no speed limit until 1st of april ,very pleased ,always knew it was low on hp however enough for me at the moment and very enjoyable ,Nicola even left me 90 litres of fuel to get me going ,
thanks BP for the drone footage always a pleasure ,ha ha lucky i never told the locals i took you to troon with me to collect :

My mate works with se pa and used this rib quite a lot_ a capable little boat

Yes ,nice lads ,fantastic help loading etc ,engine has only done 163hrs since 2004/5 ,and i am partial to a yamaha ,tendered unseen ! running into xmas ,final tender date was 21st december and did,nt hear till jan ,spent the whole of xmas wondering . Brave move without seeing, but it turned out twice as good as i had hoped ,so today to get it on the water was a super day

it looks calm for an entry to the Deben, my pulse always quickens after taking the turn past Woodbridge haven buoy on approach on the Ebb in a breeze

Many worry about the Deben bar and entrance but if you follow the Buoys it is fine. I suppose it being my home waters makes it somewhat easier. If you look on line you will fine some drone footage of it at low water which helps

Yes I agree, this area of permanent shifting sands needs serious research if you haven’t attempted it before ignor it to your peril literally many have perished over the years its responsible for hundreds of wreaks and groundings the more you draw the higher the stress, we slammed the bottom in a very confused sea between mid knoll and the spit
