I'm sorry but how could you possibly fall for that? Those prices are quite simply ridiculous!

yes in hindsight,but the world is upside down financially and the website did not give you any reason to doubt the purchases.The monies was paid to a uk bank.

I'm not finding the world that upside down at the moment - seems to me like everything I'm interested in is holding its value. Anyway, hopefully the police will be able to track them down for you! Good luck

Just need to be careful. I called a guy on Boatsandoutboards regarding a cheap Suzuki df90 and whilst it seemed genuine (in terms of he may of actually had the motor) he wanted me to send him the cash in the post, recorded mail.

I offered BACS, declined. Said "the post is pretty good around here". When I explained RM will only cover upto £500 if sent special delivery he said I'd have to take a chance on it but he'd let me know when it arrived!

Sorry but I'm not daft enough to risk £2,500 on that basis. Buyer beware!
