Thanks Dave,

I am busy reading all about ship control / neural networks / Artificial Intelligence and Collision Regulation application to all above.

I would suggest maybe contacting boatworks+ in guernsey
and South pier shipyard in Jersey as these are easiest places to refuel if the boat goes that direction.

Also fax Jersey Harbours your poster 01534 885599 they can circulate it to marina staff / office. i'm sure Jersey customs would also be interested with the volumes of illicit substances they have recently been catching.

(joke) "I may have to start giving lessons in smuggling between Portbail and Gorey in under 20mins!! " (/joke)

The marina will be having loads of yachty visitors heading onwards down French coast and Med as usual and may prompt someone to report it.

Good luck
Karl

Their was a positive spotting of a twin optimax 225hp ballistic in deven this week. Could everyone keep an eye open as their are only 2 in local waters and the other is in Jersy with fichts not optimax. This means that it is very likly that the boat seen was the lost ballistic Thanks

www.boatsandoutboards.com now has a stolen boats section. may be worth putting details on there too.

I'm heading upto Yorkshire from Cardiff tommorow and hoping to go for a spin on the humber (the estuary not the boat) on Sunday so will keep my eyes open.

Sorry for the delay in joining this thread but I have been working in the Med for the last week!

The Garda (Irish Police) Water Unit is based here beside us on the Shannon.

They also regularly patrol the East Coast.

Contact them at

Water Unit
Garda Station
Barrack St
Athlone
Co. Westmeath
Ireland

00 353 902 92769 - Ask for Water Unit

I will also put the word out amongst our clients and contacts around the Coast.

The leading place to sell RIBs in Ireland is at www.apolloduck.com

This is a very reputable website who's owner is a pal of mine.

It would be possible though to post a classified there for a stolen boat. The RIB community is reasonably small here in Ireland. If your RIB shows up over here it should be spotted before too long.

Best wishes,

Stuart
