Free Berthing and Beer at Ports Solent on June 24th

Port Solent, JD Weatherspoons and Port Solent management have put a deal together for the Late Sir Alec Roses Boat "Lively Lady" to return back to Port Solent as an exhibition. Sir Alec Rose and Lively Lady opened Port Solent 23 years ago and to mark the occasion, Weatherspoons are refurbing and renaming their pub "The Sir Alec Rose" They have asked me to ask around if any boat owners would like to take part in this historic event. There will be free berthing , food and a certain amount of beer for anyone who attends.
If anyone wants to come along, let me know their boat name and approx numbers and I will make all the arrangements. Alan P

I'd be interested in this Alan as Lively Lady and Port Solent marks an important chapter in my life.

When Lively Lady was berthed there 181\2 years ago I proposed to my Wife Rosanna as Big Ben Chimed in the New Year. Do you know if she will go back to her original Berth in the corner?

Yep she sure is, we are turning the clock back. + the next chapter is we are opening an exhibition centre behind the Mermaid of Sir Alecs and Lively ladys past.

So you proposed, Egbert Walters got married on her while she was in Newfoundland, Tracy Harris used her as a backdrop for her wedding photos and now Steve Mason is having his blessing on her on October 7th. Perhaps she has the ability to create love?

Isn't it a bit unfair to subject your wife to that again after so much time!
