Choppy -
Yeah, i live in copley square - my old man lives up and portland maine and picked up a 1989 5.4m Avon with a 115 mariner on the back for 4200! Boat was clean, and the engine runs like a top. Pretty amazing deal considering the prices i have seen all over.
We've been looking for a console and leaning post like they have on the coast guard rigs - no luck so far.
Ribcraft quoted me 2800 for a jockey seat and console, and I couldnt justify that.

hmm im just about to order my RIBCRAFT for next year. You got a great deal on that avon though..cmpared to me haha. Im about 15 minutes north of Boston...i think its North hah its a little Island(2 sq miles) called Nahant. I once took my boat to Boston but its pretty hard tryin to find somewhere to dock and to walk around so theres nothing to really do
O and id try West Marine if u want to put teh console on yourself

Next season, when Choppy gets his new boat, we're going to have to have a Boston RibNet gathering. Three of us makes a party!
I've got a 5.4m Searider in Marblehead. Might go out and watch whales on Sunday. Only about 12 miles offshore from Marblehead. Sailed right through the middle of them last Saturday.
Portland is cool. I race J/24's up there every so often, and love the downtown area.
Where do you go to school? As an NU alumni, I spent a LOT of time around your neighborhood. I even remember most of it.

That's great.
We've had a whole load more US members join in the last couple of months. I wonder how long it will be before RIBnet is predominantly focussed on the US rather than UK!

While I'm happy that there are are more US folks coming around, I sure hope that we don't chase off you Brits. You folks have all the experience!
I really enjoy the international interaction, please don't ever segregate us!

It would be typical of the Yanks - arrive last and then claim they started the party........

Pretty much done. Just sort of cleaning up details around the edges. Including leaks in the major roadway tunnel.
