Fuel cap
Can you buy the cap with level indicator for 25L plastic tanks (see pic)
One off my tanks has one but the other is just a black cap.

Something like this ? I needed to get one recently - but had a mate with a spare one - I did find a few differant types out there for the differant tanks . Just dont recall the websites that I found them all on . Google found them pretty quickly after a few searches .

I think they're listed in the Plastimo catalogue, so most chandlers should be able to get you one. You'll need to check the thread and depth are compatible.

A linked question on filler caps - I have a key for mine - but it doesn't actually seem to be able to lock or unlock the cap ( this on the shearwater) , so I just twist the cap on & all done . Does anyone esle have locking fillers ? Shoudl I change it / fix it so I can lock it on ?
It only locks the cap & if you want you can just tilt the seat up to get at the filler pipe - so not sure what real securisty it gives me - just another key to worry about .....

Not really. Mine used to bounce between full and empty regardless of the amount of fuel it contained.
