Ok I'll kick off then:-
Day trip for 6 people, pick up from Port Solent or Gunwharf Quay. Blast up to the Needles, then back where I can either drop you off at Yarmouth or Cowes(either Folly or Fountain) where you can buy yourselves lunch. Then dropping you back to either Gunwharf Quay or Port Solent.
Bids start at £150 with all monies going to Aging Youths son for his trip. He is to take part in the Round the World adventure onboard Sir Alec Rose's Boat Lively Lady. Because he has to fundraise £1000 to ensure his place onboard.

Generosity of Ribsters
Hi all,
Many thanks for the kind offers, as for a closing date I will leave that decision with the relevant sponsors, however, if you get no interest you reserve the right to withdraw your offer, shall we say after 2 weeks?
For those of you who do not know Nautibouy, this boat is suberb and I for one would want a place on what can only be described as a very exhillerating ride.
As for Tim, his instruction is excellent and the location is ideal for anyone wishing to gain a better insight into the world of ribs.
So Ladies and Gents all I ask you to do is support this adventure and subcribe to the auction that is currently underway and help a young man to fullfil a dream of sailing the ocean blue.
Kind reagrds Kevin & Kathryn

Auction offer - VHF Course for 2
In addition to the already kind offers, I would like to add for auction a VHF (DSC) course for 2 people, either in our classroom or in your living room/aboard your yacht.
The course will be run using the latest simulators from Icom, Silva and Standard Horizon, and all hand outs and course materials will be included. The only extra is the £22 RYA Exam Fee.
These courses usually cost between £60 - £100 a head, and I'll put a reserve on the 2 places at £75 (for both), so grab yourself + the missus/a mate a bargain!
As with the other auctions - all monies to be paid direct to Harry for his trip.
Jimbo

Ribnet has been very good to me, so I would like to return the favor by offering something too. Having just set up a RIB charter business I'd like to offer something similar to Nauti Bouys package, leaving from Gunwarf, going to Cowes or Yarmouth in Evolution for lunch, and returning later. This trip is for up to 6 people.
Bidding to start at £100 (as my fuel bills are considerably less than Nautis!!).
Tim

Small suggestion from several hundred miles away - I'm assuming that most of the people on these boards already have ribs, so the wonderful offers mentioned above may not be of direct relevance ..... however, if there was some local mag / radio station / telephone box / side of dog / etc. that would list the auction items, then perhaps it may yield a better result. (just my 2 cents worth)

I'll put a starting bid on that of £100-I really should have a VHF licence and it'd be a good idea for my girlfriend too.

I'll add to the auctions too:-
Assorted fixtures and fittings-what's in the picture-as one lot:-
New Quicksilver temperature gauge part no. 79-825289a 1
New Lazilas bicolour nav light
2 Polymarine Rib cleats/handles
2 5.5" nylon cleats
New brass drain plug/bung skin fitting
A chromed brass vent/breather/cockpit drain fitting
2 stainless locker securing thingys
Fuel tap for a fuel/water filter.
That lot'll cost you at least £100 from a chandlers.
Again, money to be paid directly to Kev's son and I'll pack the lot up and post it.

Behave
I didn't know ye scrubbed bottoms on the First Aid at Sea Course (although Pete 7 is still suffering post-traumatic stress disorder )
We wish to bid £50 quid for Youth of Aging Youth to go on the exciting Lively Lady venture and congratulate him on his courage.
We'll make it fifty-one quid if you'll extend that Amnesty to 12 months
Kathleen & Paul (looking for change down the back of the sofa)
P.S. In order to fully feel the benefits of this Amnesty we must insist that you double your piss-taking of everyone else.

Reference the VHF Courses - as I'm in a weak mood, what I propose is that failing any higher offers, I will close the auction, and do a course for Nos + 1 with £100 going to Harry, and a course for M Humphray (+1?) with another £100 going to Harry.
Bembridge will be fine if you can pick me up from Ryde!
