Just try this Steve. Find the original downloaded file, wherever it is on your computer. Right click on it & select "rename" rename the file to "homeport.exe" & save. You will get a message warning that you might not be able...blah blah. ignore the message. Then double click on the newly renamed file & see what happens, worth a shot.

I deleted it so that when I downloaded it through Firefox I would know which was which . I then tried to search my garmin through windows but it seems to be forcing me to do it through Firefox which won't work .

Loosing the will to live

Something called sweet pack seems to have taken over my system . I think I will go and sit on my boat and rock back and forth for a bit , with pencils up my nose

sounds frustrating, Garmin support is superb, probably best to give them a ring on Monday, they may be able to email you the file.
probably best not to tell them you have underpants on your head tho
