Geeking Out

So from this graph I can see that my motor has spent 81% of it's run time under 3000 rpm and 91% under 4000. And only a measly 5.6 hours running > 5000 rpm. I reckon I must've made a notable contribution to that 5.6 hours, last weekend.

In fact, 60% of it's total hours the boat won't have been on the plane, it's just been idling around.

Come on Matt.

If that's your 225 Opti I need to know what you've plugged in with.

Absolutely. Although it is borrowed, rather than owned.

Also checked out the air and fuel pressures. Seems OK.

Bonkers really. I drove an hour each way to plug in the computer, give the boat a hose down, check the air and fuel pressures (and flush the motor at the same time), change the gauges and change the gearbox oil. So 1.5 hours working on it for 2 hours of travel.

But needs must. Still, it meant I left home at 4:30 and was still home in time for tea.

Yeah, but...didn't you take the boat for a test drive post service work? That would be the prudent thing to do
