Gemini Marine response NOT Gemini Marine U.K. Ltd response
Nothing wrong with Gemini as a whole,
U.K. licenced seller only

I think you maybe read to much into it. It is a slightly oddly worded statement - but its entirely possible they just hit the critical cashflow issues that so many before them in the marine industry have had, and SBS didn't bring the sales they longed for. Perhaps if you and Rick had placed those orders they'd still be around!

Shame. As I really like the Gemini ribs I assume that there is no dealer in the British isles? Not that I have the money to change my rib

I had conversations with them and that is all i am not sure it is appropriate to claim anything else especially claiming our orders (or not) would have prevented their collapse

Matt H. That I can tell you is not true. Woody left to help his wife and his son. Woody was great to deal with and had a good business brain. Dont get me wrong I would guess he had some interesting conversations with the so called MD but he would not have run away and his wife did I know need his help.
Look on thr bright side. the Carson RIB is back and will do v v well. tested in the maray firth FFS they must be good!! Well done Porbond Marine

actually chatting to Probond Marine about the Carson as intriguing and also Humber. Not even decided yet as have to persuade other half she really really doesn't need a big house on a boat (as she calls cabins) to keep her dry whilst she sips prosecco!

The old Carson range had a very good rep on some of the smaller ribs. As a huge fan of the ribcraft smaller boats it will be interesting to see if the new Carson's target that market. Just a very personal view as I like smaller RIBs as easier to tow, cheaper to buy, look after etc and my small drive means I can keep them at my house!!

Island RIBs simply stunning but start at 7m and a joy to be on, Scorpion ( v different boat but well worth refurb) Delta love them but slam a bit to much for long trips but great build quaility, Halmatics, coastlines ( island RIB is a very much jumped up version of this ie even better build quaility and amazing to say but even better ride) .
For ride I like some of the Humbers but I would question build on these sadly. Oh sorry a different price point but Stinger needs to be in there. A bit to white teath bling for me but I would consider refurb an old one if I was looking for a bigger RIB but would probably try and find a redbay first. I know its v different but I like the rugged look!
Its great having Island RIB's, Redbay etc but high end smaller RIB's that dont cost the earth are hard to find with a dry ride. RIBCRAFT seem to know this and it would be great for Carson to take them on as this helps all buyers
v sad about Gemini but I am testing the 5.5 Carson at the boat show and to be blunt my expectations are sky high. V V high. If reports are true it will make the sr5.4 hang its head is shame !! Are you coming along so we can test it together?

We had a poke about on the new Carson at Seaworks & were very impressed. Acres of room & good build quality. It'll never win a beauty contest, but who cares as long as it performs. It will be interesting to see how the concept is downsized to the smaller sizes. If I was in the market for a new boat, it would certainly be on my "to look at" list.
