Getting Started
Hi all,
Newbie to Ribbing here, used to have a family motor boat and have hired a lot abroad, but never personally owned.
I live in Putney on the thames and have always wanted to have something I can pull around on a trailer and use on the Thames or in places like the Chichester estury.
I have seen a 2006 Avon Seasport I quite like the look of, which comes with a hinged trailer. I drive an Outlander PHEV and can get a towbar fitted fairly easily I think. I also think I can rent the parking space next to mine in our underground carpark if trailer storage is appropriate for these boats? Although, I'm wondering if this could be stored end up against a wall to avoid renting of the space?
Any general hints or advice offered regarding Rib owbership and use on the Thames would be gratefully received!
