It was taken at Kinlochmoidart, on the West coast just south of Arisaig.

I beg to differ. The beach scenes were shot south of Arisaig, the village /harbour scenes at Pennan. I've camped above " Furness Beach"....

I was not doubting what you said about the west coast it's just the film was based in a village and they used Pennan.

Pfft! There or thereabouts is close enough for me when we're arguing about Coastlines! BTW, I'd be cautious about advertising your Pedantry on here - the comprehension is so atrocious that the RIBnet Child Defence League could be outside your's clodding rocks at ye within the hour...

Wow, being from the USA I never knew that, 1) there was clear water like that over there, and 2) shouldn't those people be dead from hypothermia by the time they are waist deep? It looks pretty spectacular.

there's loads of it - we have to keep it quiet though or people might stop driving to Cornwall to annoy Mollers for the summer and clutter up the north!

Gulf stream - its not actually that cold! If they were any further out the water the midges would have sucked their blood dry by now!
