I can't speak for that suit in particular, but I had the OSJ2 jacket I think for work coupled with Musto salopettes and they were the best waterproofs I've ever had. I spent 2 years doing field work on fishing boats in the North Minch (a calm day was 4 foot waves and a bad day was, well... epic!) and spent virtually all my time on deck to stay in the fresh air. I actually once dozed off on deck while we were waiting for the gear to come up on a particularly rolly day, and woke up to discover that the heavens had opened at some point along the way and I was snoozing in a puddle, getting occasionally battered by the odd wave coming in over the bows. The kit kept me absolutely bone dry and I went back to sleep And it continued to work perfectly despite getting covered in smears of engine grease, fish slime, oil and whatever else I accidentally bumped into.

Anyway, I had to pass all that on to my replacement on that project, but will be buying at least an OS2 jacket to replace my work gear.

I have used the OS2 Jacket since early 2010 and have found it to be ideally suited to RIB Cruising. Light and comfortable, it has always remained fully waterproof.
Whilst it may not be in the same league as MPX and HPX it is considerably cheaper and almost as good in most ribbing conditions, therefore great value for money and highly recommended if you don't want to invest in the top of the range stuff.

Yep, we've got a pair that we use regularly. I think the jacket is good, with the little rubber seals around the base of the arm keeping most of the water out. The fleecy bit around the mouth/neck can be susceptible to becoming soaked when not done up stupidly tightly, and then when you do want to tighten it up it becomes very irritating.

They are certainly the strongest part of our kit, the Marinepool sallopettes are nowhere near as good.

One point the seller made when we bought them at the LBS last year was how much more flexible they are than other jackets of a similar price. Those from competitor brands and also Gill ones below it in the range were surprisingly stiff and of course that will only get worse in sea water.

Usual summer attire as modelled by me below (hair not usually that bad, just made a rough crossing and a bit blow around! )
