Glassfibre sheet
VHF failed at the weekend so had to buy a new one, which is smaller than the existing one so I need to make up a plate. Anyone know where I can buy a 250mm X 150mm ish sheet of white glass fibre?
Don't really want to go to the hassle of lamenting something up.
Any other ideas?
Andy

would perspex or acrylic sheet do the job? Might be easier to get and if mounting on to the existing surface (i.e. not flush) might give a better edge.

As suggested, a different material would do fine but an offcut of polycarbonate would be better than acrylic because it's tough and won't split or crack and it's very easy to work with hand tools. 3mm thick a would be fine and it comes in various colours too.

Glassfibre sheet
I used a small piece of polycarbonate I had lying around then wrapped it in carbon fibre film.

Thanks Guys
I looked at east coast but could only find 600mm square sheets, might have to give them a call. Where is the best place to buy Polly sheet off cuts?

If this is actually going to be what radio is mounted (supported) by, 3mm might be a bit light.

what about a s/s plate big enough to cover existing hole and cut it out to suit the new radio, I use push plates in work to cover old yale lock holes splice the front of the door then fit a new lock.
