Going faster?

Hi guys! I'm from USA and just bought a 2012 Rib 350 and I have a 2012 mercury 25hp 4 stroke! It's really an amazing boat but it tops out at 44mph. Is there anything I can do to make it faster?

I know US gallons are smaller than Imperial, but didn't realise their miles were shorter than ours.

Do I detect a hint of Disbelief? My rig is easily capable of those speeds. When I don't load all the sheep I often go so fast that the piano falls out. Once I actually broke the sound barrier entering Derry docks and they had to lift sonic boom and in fact

*SMACK!*

Oh thanks dude, WTF was I saying? - I got all light headed there for a mo....

What part of the US are you in? Where do you normally run?

On the Pacific coast, it's rare when you can run flat out without beating the crap out of yourself and your passengers (picture stuff and people flying out of the boat while bouncing off the wavetops.)

On lakes it's a different story, of course. Lighten the boat (should yield a little speed), reprop for more pitch (assuming you're not getting full rpm), get a bigger motor (won't get you as much as you'd think.)

Oh, and if you believe the kids on the street in the Hondas, a big exhaust pipe and a little wing on the back.

My boat only weighs 150 pounds! When I'm by myself at full speed it feels very unstable

Which would explain why you want more speed...

Heck my SIB has gone 80 mph. Top that!

Another option, if you want it to go faster over the water, roll it up and put it in the bow of this boat.
