It'll be sheltered between Caernarfon and Menai, just go for it.

HP senior has been out and got over a dozen mackerel! No seaweed on her hull at the minute.

Is this an option? The boiler has always fancied Dylans she called up and they said there was no mooring nearby. Is the pontoon you're on about the same one the research ship uses?

This is where I have always tied up to, the back side to where the research vessel moors up though. This year it is used a lot by rib ride though so not always easy to get on, you can fit three maybe four boats onto the pontoon leg, other option is to moor on one of the buoys and ask to ride for lift back to pontoon.

I've moored up numerous times over the years on either side of the inside pontoon. Never had a problem. If there's a few boats on it, just raft up. It's very sheltered.
Seawake and rib ride do use it occasionally but I'm not aware they have any more right than anyone else!
The yachts actually raft up on the research vessel but clearly need to know when it's off out.
If it's high (>1/2)tide, you can also tie up on Porth Daniel wall. I've been before and just asked them if it's OK for an hour or so. They were fine. But clearly you need to watch it rise/fall.

Seafood linguine is just awesome! Lots of crab in it to fill it out. I always have it.
Triple mini Burger selection board is good too, pulled pork, chicken and beef.
