Just checked with a major UK GoPro importer and this is not their understanding. What makes you think the HERO3 isn't Mac compatible?

Not Mac compatible but there's an iPhone app ... something not right here

The 3 is windows and mac compatible. The machines only read an SD card after all. I have had a 1 and have a2 at the minute. I tend to use it more whilst kayaking but and trying to use it more whilst out in the boat.

I have order a silver edition 3 as they are in the UK and have a black on preorder.

They've updated their web site, is had said the 2 was Mac/Windows and the 3 was just Windows, now says Mac/Windows under the 3.

It's not just the a question of the video on the card, there's the GoPro software that runs on the Mac that updates the firmware and other useful video things that you'd use iMovie for.

The update process is sh$te. Software's clunky and the process is complicated and drawn out. Instructions are written by a moron. On-line support probably the same guy if last weeks effort anything to go by. HERO2 better than HERO but not much. Hope HERO3 is a leap.

2/10 must try harder
