Grand Boats RIB Info

We are looking at buying two Grand RIBs at the moment, a 650 and a 2.75 (see the following links (http://www.grandboats.com/slc.htm , http://www.grandboats.com/slt.htm). I would appreciate any information or feedback anyone has in relation to this manufacturer and the quality of these vessels. Both vessels would be made of Hyperlon. Thanking you in advance. Greg.

I know the 6.5m. Building quality is good. Nice design and details ok regarding quality.
I do not know who manufactures the ones sold in Australia though. The European seems to be made in Ukraine. The vertical panel of the raisable back seat comes very near the deck, some 15cm, which is not good, as water can enter. Should be sealed. Also the ventilation holes are unnecessarily low. The deadrise angle is quite modest, so flying over waves gives a hard ride, but go some 15 knots in tough weather and keep the stern in the sea, then it is ok as bow angle is steep and good. In light to moderate sea 150hp gives it a nice 40 plus knots, depending on loading. /henriks
